Apple rolling out new AirTag software update; here’s how to see if yours has updated

Apple announced today that it is rolling out a new version of AirTag firmware with a notable privacy improvement. Here’s how to check your AirTag firmware version to see if yours has updated to the latest build.

Apple, unfortunately, does not make it possible to manually update your AirTags. Instead, the company says that firmware updates will install automatically when AirTag is in range of your iPhone. This is similar to the way that Apple rolls out AirPods firmware updates.

The new version of AirTag software build rolling out today is build number 1A276d and firmware version 1.0.276. This is up from the previous firmware version of 1.0.225, which is the version that AirTags shipped with at launch.

As we detailed last month, the process of checking your AirTag firmware version is a bit hidden. On your iPhone, open the Find My application, then choose the Items tab in the

PAWR launches new lab for open-source 5G SA software

The Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research (PAWR) Project Office is moving to support development and testing of an open-source Standalone 5G software stack from the OpenAirInterface (OAI) Software Alliance, with the launch of OpenAirX-Labs (OAX).

The lab launch under PAWR gives a U.S.-based home to work from OAI, which has had its home in Europe, and expands the potential ecosystem of companies and partners.

OAX will be located at the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things at Northeastern University in Boston, and PAWR says it will mirror a similar OpenAirInterface test location at Eurecom in France, which has a cloud-based Continuous Integration and Development (CI/CD) suite and provides a neutral, remotely accessible lab environment. Once the initial development and testing are complete, PAWR said, the open-source 5G software will be set up as a new software profile on PAWR’s wireless test beds; it has two currently operational, one in

Improving the software development process through DevOps

DevOps is one of the very popular terminologies especially in software development companies and there are many misunderstandings about what is DevOps, is it and new Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), is it Agile or does it improve process agility, it is a role inside the team or what is the DevOps and how this can improve software delivery.

As we know that software after implementation and delivery, is used by the end-users inside the organization, it needs to be maintained and also operated, not only that it needs to be enhanced with the time until it is decommissioned or replaced with a new software powered by new technologies.

  • Nafiz Modack will spend at least another week in custody after his bail application was postponed.
  • This after the magistrate who was supposed to hear the application was reportedly involved in “an accident”.
  • News24 understands he was hit in a shooting which claimed the life of a lieutenant colonel on Sunday.

The bail application of alleged underworld figure Nafiz Modack was postponed on Monday due to the unavailability of the magistrate, who was understood to have been wounded in a shooting in which a Cape Town police officer was killed.

Modack, Zane Kilian and alleged money launderer Ricardo Morgan are accused of the murder of Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) detective Charl Kinnear.

Modack and Kilian are also charged with the attempted murder of Cape Town lawyer William Booth.
